Club member meeting will be on 5 April 2008 instead of the 12th. Tom Herman has arranged for
a Show and Shine display of our cars at the Pep Boys Auto Parts store on Walzem Road in Windcrest.
Off IH 35 take the Walzem Road exit and head into Windcrest. From HY 78 take the Walzem Road exit
and follow Walzem Road until you see Pep Boys on you left. The manager of the store will give a
discount coupon worth 10 percent off many items in the store to those that display a Corvair or other
old car. Car parking will be at 9 AM and then we will go to a near by Mexican Restaurant for the
meeting and breakfast at 9:30 AM. Round’em up and bring’em in.

The South Texas Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will be hosting a cruise in the
hill country of about 160 miles with lunch scheduled at Po Po’s Restaurant near Welfare Texas. They
have invited Corvair members to drive their cars in the cruise. Don’t have all the detail yet but
will have them available by the club meeting on the 5th.

Classic Cruise Along the Corridor 2008. Over 15 area car clubs will depart from the parking lot of
SA’s Botanical Garden at 555 Fuston Place (North New Braunfels and Funston) from 8 to 9:30 AM. For those
that have email addresses, the complete route and list of Hospitality Stops was provided by Buddy awhile
back. For those that have not seen this info we will have copies available at the 5 April meeting. Will
need to let Tom H. know at that time if you plan to attend.

10 May - Fly In, Kingsbury, TX (East of Seguin)

Fly in (Air Fair 2008) at Old Kingsbury Aerodrome in Kingsbury Texas. Sponsored by the Vintage Aviation
Historical Foundation that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and reproduction of aircraft
and other historical artifacts from the beginning of flight to the early years of WWII. The Pioneer Flight
Museum has many displays of early aircraft, vehicles, and military camp equipment from the beginning of the
20th century. On the Fly in day pilots will fly in their restored airplanes for display. Car clubs are
allowed to park at the airfield which is all grass. A great event to participate in. This event was listed
in previous Activity Letters as on the 10th of May – wrong, the 24th is the correct date as taken from the sites
schedule of events for 2008
